Merrick and Rosso Unplanned

Comedy duo Merrick and Rosso made their network television debut hosting their own free-form talk show.

Each one-hour episode saw the guys sitting on a couch, taking questions from members of the studio audience and talking about stuff. There was also a regular spot with comedian Scott Thomson, poking fun at Australian personalities.

One-off events included a drop-in by Paul Hogan, whizzing up a kebab with garlic sauce in a food processor and Merrick and Rosso musing on the type of animal they would come back as if they were reincarnated.

The show screened on Channel Nine in 2003 and 2004.

It was adapted from a successful British show featuring David Baddiel and Frank Skinner: Baddiel & Skinner Unplanned.
