I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! is family entertainment, live from the jungle five nights a week. Hosted by Julia Morris and Chris Brown, it’s an Australian television first, revealing celebrities as you have never seen them before.

Funny, engaging and interactive, this is a nightly soap opera where the viewers decide who eats, who plays and who stays.

Ten celebrities are dropped into the African jungle with little more than their wits, strength and willpower to get them through. For several weeks they trade their five star lifestyles for a no-frills existence.

In the ultimate fish-out-of-water experience, the celebrities endure meagre rations, basic accommodation and the company of perfect strangers. No cleaners, no cooks, no personal assistants, no hot water, no electricity and no roof: all in the name of charity.

Deep in the South African jungle, the celebrities compete in tough trials and challenges (often involving creepy crawlies) to secure fresh food and special privileges.

Filmed 24 hours a day, relationships grow and tensions flare as the celebrities struggle to cope with their new lifestyle. Beds are hammocks, dinner is rice and beans and the nearest neighbours are lions, baboons, snakes and spiders.

If things get too hard, all a celebrity needs to do to return to their home comforts is yell: “I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!”.

Viewers have all the control, voting on who they want to participate in each trial, which celebrities they want to keep in the jungle and, ultimately, who will be crowned King or Queen of the Jungle.

I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! is broadcast in Australia on TEN.

The 10 celebrities dropped into the African jungle :

Miguel Maestre, Myf Warhurst, Tom Williams, Charlotte Crosby, Ryan Gallagher, Rhonda Burchmore, Nikki Osborne, Erin Barnett, Dilrul Jayasinha and Tanya Hennessy!

Chris grew up with the family backyard being both hospital ward and home to a menagerie. His father was a local vet in Newcastle, so as well as the dogs, cats and birds, there were koalas and kangaroos, cows and horses, a donkey and – for six months – a penguin.

Three years after graduating from Sydney University as a vet, Chris was talent-spotted while telling stories over a few beers in a pub. A fortnight later, he was the new vet on Harry’s Practice. He subsequently joined Burke’s Backyard, also working on the Today Show and Talk to the Animals.

Since 2009, Chris has been Ten’s Bondi Vet, showcasing the crises and characters at his bustling Bondi vet practice. Bondi Vet has won over viewers around the world, including the US, UK, Germany, Italy, Scandinavia, Thailand, Brazil and the Ukraine.

Chris has also worked on The Living Room since it launched in 2012 and is a regular panellist and reporter on The Project.

He still practises as a vet in Bondi.
