Original Icon Gina Liano To Return In New Season Of Real Housewives Of Melbourne

BINGE today announced the highly anticipated return of the iconic reality series The Real Housewives of Melbourne with fan favourite Gina Liano confirmed to return for Season 6, with production beginning in 2027 and further cast announcements to be revealed in the coming months.

First launched in 2014, The Real Housewives of Melbourne became one of Australia’s most iconic reality series, delivering the glamour, humour, friendships and feuds that made the series a firm fan favourite. The series went on to become the most-watched reality show in Foxtel’s history, cementing its place as one of Australia’s most successful and talked-about reality franchises.

Gina Liano said:

“It’s been a while between drinks, but some things are worth waiting for.”

“I am delighted to be returning for the new season of The Real Housewives of Melbourne. I’ve missed the glamour, the fabulous women and, of course, the drama.”

“I’m looking forward to seeing some familiar faces, meeting some new ones and getting back to what we do best – having a good time, looking fabulous and causing a little trouble along the way.”

Foxtel Group Executive Director, Entertainment Content, Daniel Monaghan said:

“The speculation can finally end – we’re delivering what fans have been asking for, with Gina Liano returning to The Real Housewives of Melbourne.”

“And while Gina’s return is just the beginning, we’ve got plenty more fabulous new and returning faces still to reveal.”

“The Housewives are back, Melbourne, and we can’t wait to see what unfolds.”

Beth Hart, Chief Content Officer, ITV Studios Australia said:

The Real Housewives of Melbourne is reality television at its absolute best – glamorous, outrageous, brilliantly funny and completely unpredictable.”

“We’re incredibly excited to bring this iconic franchise back and introduce audiences to a new chapter that feels unmistakably Melbourne.”

“Our ambition is to deliver everything fans have loved about the series, while opening the door to fabulous new friendships and stories.”

“With Gina back at the heart of the action, some exciting surprises still to come and a city that provides the most spectacular playground imaginable, we can’t wait to get started.”

The new season will be an exciting co-production between ITV Studios Australia (Love Island Australia, The Voice) and Universal Television Alternative Studio UK Productions (UTAS UK), which is part of Universal Studio Group, the award-winning UK production company behind SNL UK, The Real Housewives of London, The Real Housewives of Cheshire and Made in Chelsea, bringing together local production expertise with extensive experience producing some of the world’s most successful reality franchises.

The one-hour unscripted format will follow the glamorous, ambitious and often chaotic lives of a group of women navigating Melbourne’s high society, capturing their friendships, families, businesses and personal rivalries as relationships are forged, tested and fractured both on and off camera.

Season 6 will deliver a high-octane, culturally relevant and unapologetically entertaining new chapter, reconnecting with the loyal fanbase while introducing The Real Housewives of Melbourne to a new generation.

The Real Housewives of Melbournecontinues BINGE’s and DAZN’s commitment to delivering premium Australian content that resonates globally, and shines a spotlight on Australian culture, landscapes and stories.

The Real Housewives format is licensed globally by NBCUniversal Formats, a division of Universal Studio Group.

Shaun Micallef’s Parents’ Evening Coming Soon To 10

Australian comedy royalty Shaun Micallef is returning to 10 with a brand-new comedy show, Shaun Micallef’s Parents’ Evening, based on the hit UK format created by Ranga Bee for ITV. And because nepotism is alive and well, Shaun has enlisted his son, Gabe Micallef, to co-host alongside him!

In this new cross-generational game show, it doesn’t matter what you know. It matters what your mum or dad think you know.

Here’s the deal. Each week, three well-known Australians team up with their lesser-known parent or child. A topic is presented, and the parents have to guess how many correct answers their grown-up kid will know.

If they get it right, they’re cruising toward victory. If they get it wrong, they can enjoy a very awkward drive home.

Family pride, bragging rights and a very real pile of cash for charity are all on the line as Shaun and Gabe steer each family through the chaos.

Shaun Micallef said: “I’m very much looking forward to working with 10 on a show that will either bridge the intergenerational divide and bring families closer together or blow up that bridge and drive us all further apart.

“I’m also looking forward to working with my son Gabe, who moved out recently and I don’t get to see that much.”

Gabe Micallef said: “What an exciting opportunity it is to work with my father! I look forward to discovering whether the Australian public finds our relationship charming or deeply strange. Either way, I’m grateful to 10 for giving us the chance to conduct this important father-son experiment on national television.”

Packed with laughs, surprises and more than a few bruised egos, the series proves that no one knows how to push your buttons quite like family.

Shaun Micallef’s Parents’ Evening is produced for Network 10 by ITV Studios Australia.

Parents’ Evening is created and produced by Ranga Bee Productions for ITV.

All-Star Cast Announced for SHARK! Australia

If there’s one thing Australians fear most, it’s the greatest predator of all – the shark. Lurking in the shallows, the single fin is an image impossible to shake. Our unique relationship with sharks and the water is like no other. That fear is about to surface in the most heart-pounding new series to ever reach our shores, SHARK!

In this bold new show, six Australian celebrities will face their greatest fears when they enter the water with some of the most frightening species known to humans – the bull shark, the hammerhead and the tiger shark. There has never been a show like this before. It’s raw, it’s real and it will be life changing.

Our six celebrities have a genuine, palpable fear and in SHARK! they attempt to overcome this while at the same time confronting their individual personal fears – by swimming in shark infested waters.

Shot in the Bahamas, which is known as the shark capital of the world, SHARK! will push these celebrities to their absolute limits.

  • Recently retired swimming superstar and four-time Olympic gold medallist, Ariarne Titmus
  • Beloved actress and 2025 TV Week Gold Logie Award winner, Lynne McGranger
  • Social media star and entrepreneur, Tammy Hembrow
  • Media personality and one of Australia’s favourite hosts, Scott Cam
  • NRL legend and commentator, Sam Thaiday
  • Hollywood actor and former rugby league player, Matt Nable

Australian shark attack survivor and former Navy clearance diver Paul de Gelder, who lost his right hand and leg in a Sydney Harbour bull shark attack, will guide the six celebrities through their high-stakes journey. He will be joined by shark expert and conservationist Annie Guttridge.

Paul de Gelder said: “Australians have a deep, complicated relationship with sharks. We’re a coastal nation — we swim, we surf, we fish. We love it. And when tragedy strikes, it hits close to home. That’s why this show matters and why Annie and I felt compelled to help create SHARK! We’re bringing something different — a series that blends intensity and drama with our real love for the ocean and the animals that call it home.

Fear is understandable, but sharks aren’t villains. They can be dangerous — yes — but they are also beautiful, vital to the health of our oceans, and worthy of respect rather than fear alone.”

The celebrities will face high-tension, heart-stopping shark challenges that escalate in danger and intensity: from diving with the safety of a protective cage to the most terrifying test imaginable – an open water swim with one of the most aggressive of all sharks. Regardless of how many shark encounters they can successfully navigate, all of them will leave the Bahamas with a completely new perspective of these remarkable creatures.

SHARK! will push their minds and bodies to breaking point. How will they fare when they face their greatest fears? Will they be brave enough to take fear to the next level?

SHARK! is based on the original format Shark! Celebrity Infested Waters created and produced by Plimsoll, part of ITV Studios, for the 9Network.

SHARK! COMING SOON TO CHANNEL 9 AND 9NOW
